    Join Joan Hyman in Goa, India for a 200-Hour Teacher Training that will offer a solid foundation for your yoga practice and plant the seeds to teach.  This Yoga Alliance certified training will include 150 contact hours with Joan plus a 25 hour online course that will include practices you can take home with you to continue your studies. There will be another 25 hours of reading, writing, and exams that will be offered with the guidance of Joan, to help you complete your full 200 Hours and receive you certificate from Yoga Alliance.

    The schedule will include long morning practices that will explore a theme pose of the day along with pranayama and meditations.  Afternoons will be a range of learning hands on adjustments and how to read bodies, understanding sequencing, diving deep into anatomy, and philosophy, and practice teaching. Each day be prepared to absorb new information as you embark on this transformational path.

    You can also join this intensive as a retreat and immerse yourself in the long morning practices and have the afternoons to relax and explore Goa.  This training/retreat is open to anybody looking to deepen their practice and explore Mother India, the birthplace of yoga. If you have the desire to teach yoga or simply just deepen your practice, this course is definitely for you!

    The Venue

    Located in the heart of a serene seaside town in Goa, the retreat center has quiet boutique accommodations and a cafe and lounge overlooking beautiful Morjim Beach. It is a peaceful sanctuary for those seeking an escape from the monotony of a busy, urban existence. Specially designed to celebrate the colorful and mystical spirit of India, the bouquet of rooms with traditional Indian design speak to your senses and cultivate  inner balance. The in-house beachfront cafe serves delicious & healthy organic food complete with superfoods that compliment yoga practice. From enjoying the large swimming pools, sunbathing on the sandy Morjim beach, or watching the sun set into the Arabian sea, you will not want to leave this serene, nourishing, inspiring oasis.

    Directions

    You will book your international ticket into and out of Goa International Airport (airport code: GOI). If you wish to arrive a day early to settle in and get acclimated, we can request additional nights at the center or hotel nearby. Please contact us directly for more information.

    Private airport transfers are included in the price of your trip. Whenever you arrive, day or night, you will be met by a private driver and transported to the group hotel. Note: if you arrive early and decide to stay at an alternate location other than our group hotel, you will be responsible for coordinating and paying for your own transportation directly with the hotel where you will be staying.
