Journey to the Heart: A Bhakti Vinyasa Retreat on Lake Atitlán With Jeremy Falk
With Jeremy Falk
February 1 - 8, 2020
Are you ready to take a voyage to one of the most mystical and magical places on Earth? Lake Atitlan is believed by the Mayans to be the center of the universe. Alexander von Humboldt called it “the most beautiful lake in the world,” and he was a famous naturalist who had been around a few places. Aldous Huxley said Lake Atitlan was “too much of a good thing,” a bold statement for a pacifist who believed in spreading the goodness!
Surrounded by a dozen highly preserved Mayan villages and 3 dormant volcanoes, Atitlan is the perfect setting to ground into a profound sense of calm while igniting the fire of transformation and inner truth. Each morning we’ll begin in meditation as tranquil and reflective as the lake itself. Through devotional Bhakti yoga, we’ll sing, chant, and honor the divine within everyone and everywhere. Dynamic and challenging vinyasa classes will provide a cathartic release of the blockages that keep us from living spaciously in our hearts and allow us to activate the embodied intelligence that lives beyond the mind.
While enjoying a carefully crafted vegetarian/pescatarian diet, and living outside of the urban jungle many of us are accustomed to, we’ll detox from much of the modern world’s stress and toxicity. We’ll humbly explore the culture of local villages, support verified fair trade organizations for local artists, and take in a few majestic hikes to witness a sunrise and sunset like never before.
Join us as we journey home to a peaceful heart.
