The Gift of the Nile: Egypt with Andrea Marcum
With Andrea Marcum
February 21 - 28, 2026
Set along the storied banks of the Nile, this soulful journey through southern Egypt is for the adventurous spirit—those drawn to ancient wonders, off-the-beaten-path travel, and the magic of slow movement. We begin in Luxor, once known as Thebes, where the grandeur of Karnak and Luxor Temples, the Colossi of Memnon, and the dramatic cliffs of Hatshepsut’s mortuary temple transport you deep into Egypt’s storied past. From there, we board a traditional dahabiyya, a handcrafted sailboat that carries us gently south along the Nile’s current—an intimate, luxurious, and timeless way to travel. Along the way, we explore remarkable temples in Esna, Edfu, and Kom Ombo, wander through quiet villages and desert landscapes, and swim in the sacred river itself. Daily yoga with Andrea Marcum grounds our experience, connecting the wisdom of an ancient civilization with our own inner rhythms. This is a retreat that invites courage, curiosity, and awe—and offers a rich, rejuvenating way to see and feel Egypt.
