Join Pete at an eco-luxury resort located on a private, pristine beach on the Pacific coast of Mexico. Only a short 30-minute drive from Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa International airport yet located on a secluded a private nature reserve that includes 1.3 kilometers of beach front, gorgeous pool, a turtle sanctuary, archaeological site, permaculture farm, forest restoration, estuary, and much more. The yoga shala and all rooms have ocean views, open-air construction using traditional techniques for constant ocean breezes and decor consisting of local materials made to the highest standard of artistic craftsmanship. The cuisine is excellent and the staff amazing. The resort is a fully sustainable operating on 100% solar power, solar thermal water heating and gray-and-black water management systems, and was built with local materials and craftsmanship.

Playa Viva food is best described as “healthy Mexican,” with a focus on traditional Mexican meals cooked with minimal oil and healthy and local ingredients—incorporating as many organics as possible and growing as much food onsite as possible on the 3-acre farm. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Please be sure to note these in your registration document.

Accommodations

All of Playa Viva’s rooms have unobstructed ocean views and private bathrooms. Depending on if you are traveling alone or plan to share your room there are options for singles, double and triple accommodations.

Directions

Your international flight needs to be booked round-trip to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo (airport code: ZIH).  Airport transfers are included in the price of your trip. Once you have provided us with your flight information, we will organize your airport transfer for you. The drive south to Playa Viva takes about 30 – 45 minutes.
