Cora Wen

Cora Wen is an international alignment yoga teacher, contributor to Yoga Journal, and a specialist on South Asian culture. She is a favorite of yoga students of all levels due to the extraordinary energy and life experiences she brings to classes.

Cora’s classes are uplifting and fun. Over many years she has evolved a unique, personal style that safely blends alignment and therapeutic yoga into artful sequences. Her expertise in therapeutics has arisen from over two decades of teaching and apprenticing with influential teachers including Judith Hanson Lasater in Restorative Yoga, and in the Iyengar method with senior teachers Patricia Walden and Manouso Manos.
Cora has the precise knowledge of a mature teacher and the joyful heart of a loving friend. An international childhood in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Switzerland, Australia and the US, has instilled the spirit of a traveling adventurer. After sowing wild oats in NewYork City in the 70s with rockers Deborah Harry and Patti Smith, she had careers in fashion and banking. Cora has organized international tours in India, Cambodia, Laos, Java, Bhutan, the Himalayas, and Central America, as well as developing Yoga Experiences and the Wellness Programs for Aman; Mandarin Oriental and the COMO Resorts.
A believer in giving back, Cora Wen supports two causes close to her heart: the indigenous culture of exiled Tibetan people and help for land mine victims. For more information visit: www.corawen.com
