Erica Treais Holm

Erica has always had a passion for movement. Though initially resistant to yoga, her mother encouraged her to practice Ashtanga regularly as a young athlete. While living in Chicago, she fell in love with cycling and power vinyasa, using both as tools to express and redirect her inner fire. Progressively realizing that the intellectual benefits outweighed the physical benefits, Erica’s teachings continued to shift with the power of self-study. Erica is an RYT-500 instructor currently sharing her love for well-aligned movements in Detroit. She approaches her classes with a devotion to exploring the physical potential and the potency of breath-work. Constantly weaving the threads of other movement modalities into the yoga practice, she pulls great influence from her weekly Iyengar practices and passion for strength training. Erica is continuously finding unique ways to incorporate props into the yoga practice, promoting mobility, stability, and strength where least expected. She encourages her students to move with a sense of embodiment, deep inquisition, and laughter.
