Vito Politano
Vito teaches yoga, trains teachers, provides Thai yoga bodywork, practices Metta meditation, and studies energy healing; he is grateful, and inspired to share these powerful practices. Not born a yogi, it took a neck injury to lead Vito to the mat in 2004. His strong desire to share the healing benefits of practice inspired him to combat a debilitating fear of public speaking, and start teaching in 2007. He teaches mindful movement with a focus on breath, and alignment. He also offers classes, and workshops that incorporate yoga wall/ropes, and myofascial release using massage balls. His care, and attention to safety, and therapeutics enable students to open body, heart, and mind in a deep, and sustainable way. Strongly committed to self-development, Vito informs his practice through the continued, and regular study, and training in yoga, philosophy, anatomy, physiology, and bodywork. His comprehensive training goes far beyond his 500 Hour with Natasha Rizopoulos (YogaWorks) and Barbara Benagh (Down Under Yoga), 200 Hour with Natasha Rizopoulos through YogaWorks, and assisting of David Magone in the Pranavayu method. In 2012, Vito was named lululemon Ambassador for the Boston Prudential store. Since his first training with Shai Plonski through the Lotus Palm School in 2010, Vito has been a regular practitioner of Thai Bodywork. Additionally, he studied craniosacral therapy with Kate Peck, and completed Reiki 1 and 2 with Susan Coffey. Having taught and mentored students in other yoga teacher trainings, he is now excited to continue offering his own yoga teacher training in partnership with well-respected teacher, and friend Larisa Forman through the Yoga Loft of Marblehead.
